The desperation of under achieving


To me it’s being told how much potential you have, but not seeing it.
Being told you get A for effort, but all your grades are a C or a D.
Feeling like you could do so much better, if only your body would just do as you asked.
Wanting to get up, paint, explore your ideas, but being trapped in bed by your fears and grief.
The fire of wanting to do better, the black hole of nothingness and the glimmer of unburnt potential.
